Nearly everyone is cooped up in their houses feeling bored and unproductive.

Some are indulging in their hobbies while some are being social on social media while there are many who are watching YouTube the whole time….but eventually everyone is feeling bored, unproductive and helpless because they can’t do anything even if they have office work to do it still feels like boring video calls with no results mostly.

Since this is the time where everyone is actually free…too free with their time…noone can really make an excuse like “I’m extremely busy right now” to not do something like YouTube!

With so much free time at hand

You should give YouTube a try!

It won’t only ease your boredom it’s also prodctive

No! I’m not kidding!

This is the best time for you to create interesting ingenious ideas and then turn them into a video

Teach something

Or just make YT, your own personal diary!

What you need to have to make a YT channel:

1. Ideas and will!

Your idea should be something that the audience wants to know about or would like to see or could be made aware of!

Simply put, your idea should be Relateable or of importance to the audienceor entertaining to watch or something that the audience are interested in or Inspirng or all of these!

2. Authentic Personality

You shouldn’t pretend to be someone you are not when on camera!

You should show your audience your authentic self!

The audience could feel the genuineness of a person even through the camera so if they think you are a fake you won’t have people wanting to watch you!

If you are teaching on YT you should make sure that the way you teach is easy to understand follow and learn and you can add a bit of fun in it!(Just make sure it ain’t boring!)

3. Aesthetic / pleasing look of your channel and videos:

This isn’t a compulsion but it’s surely a factor that can help you gain more subscribers ofc

Aesthetic means pleasing or beautiful to look at!

And here by aesthetic I mean your channel should look attractive/ beautiful to others

So make sure that your channel looks neat and just by looking at your channel itself one must be able to feel the vibe of your channel

Let’s say for example your channel is fun and games

So when I visit your channel I see all the videos with thumbnails in which there are games and people’s laughter and screaming! This image alone can make me feel the vibe of the channel!!

4. A bit of humour and a good attitude!

This is necessary….the audience now is very sharp…just a few words from you and they would be able to detect whether you are pretending to be good or are you actually good …. You should always display your authentic self as long as you are real the audience will eventually like you even if you are a bad boy or girl they might dislike your bad attitude in the beginning but if that’s your true self after some time they will get used to it and like you given the condition that you are a good person at heart because if you have a bad heart and bad character then even if you become popular it’s just a matter of time before you suffer a great downfall….and boy would that hurt then!!!

Humour is a skill you should have if your idea isn’t related to teaching or something serious!

If you are not needed to be serious then try being funny , great if you already are a fun and humorous person but if you are not ,then don’t try too hard!

Because when a person laughs the brain secretes dopamine and the brain remembers what made it secrete dopamine so it would want to return to it!

So if you can make them laugh ,relate to you they’ll surely come back

5. The skill to enrapture the audience with your skill corresponding to your ideas!

The most important Quality you need to possess to have subs is for you to be able to keep your audience’s attention on you! There interest in you should be ignited

They should want to come back to watch your videos again

They should like you

They should want to see and hear (watch) what you want to show!

This is a skill that you would easily have if you enjoy what you are doing !

And then when you edit it make sure to edit in a way that is not only fun to watch but also wouldn’t bore the audience and would keep them watching till the end!

I can’t tell you how to do that!!

Since it will be your video and only you would know how to do so!

Ask for feedback!

Ask it from anyone!

Your friends, family or your subscrbers!

But do so!

It helps you in improving your video!

But remember there’s a difference between an honest feedback or a constructive criticism and a jealous or hateful criticism!

So just ask these few questions to them to gain an honest feedback!

• Did you watch it full in one go?!
• Did you like the idea behind the video or the message of the video?!
• Did you like how the video looked or was made or edited?!
• Did I say anything that made you uncomfortable or you wished I hadn’t said?!
• Would you want to watch more video like these?!
• What is that you liked about the video and what is that you didn’t! Point out atleast one!

Tip: Check out the channels related to your niche and analyse their videos see what do they do that wants you to subscribe to them…do they have all the things I said they should have?!

If yes then you know what to do!

But don’t copy!

Your videos and your channel should have your vibe, your uniqueness….think of it as an extension of you! So it must feel like You!

Well then you have a great idea and you know now what you need for your channel to be a success! Then What are you waiting for?!
